Mikel Obi Makes Liam Delap’s Confession Following His Display On Chelsea Debut

Ex Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel obi has given his honest verdict on Chelsea new signing – Delap, after making his Chelsea debut in the club world cup.

The Chelsea new signing enjoyed a lively cameo in Chelsea’s opening Club World Cup win over Los Angeles FC at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The English striker replaced Jackson just after the hour mark, and he impressed the fan base with just minutes into the match.

Liam Delap, who completed a £30m move from Ipswich Town – provided the assist for Enzo Fernandez to score Chelsea’s second.

Meanwhile, Liam Delap’s individual brilliance on his Chelsea debut got everyone talking expect one person.

Despite Liam Delap’s performance, John Mikel Obi still thinks that the young English striker isn’t the main deal for Enzo Maresca’s team.

The former Chelsea midfielder who was a pundit for Chelsea’s Club World Cup clash against Los Angeles FC, has suggested that Chelsea still needs a firing striker that can get goals any where in the box.

Speaking of Delap, Mikel said…

“We needed somebody to come in and score those goals and finish those chances, but obviously he [Delap] wasn’t the guy the fans wanted, obviously we know who the fans wanted, the fans wanted Victor Osimhen to the football club but he didn’t.”
