Xabi Alonso confirms Bayer Leverkusen exist

Xabi Alonso has officially announced that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season, a decision that has left many Leverkusen fans in tears.
The Spanish manager made the revelation during a press conference held ahead of their crucial Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

” This week the club and I have agreed that these two games are going to be my last as Bayer Leverkusen coach.
It is not a moment to talk too much about the future because we want to have a proper farewell on Sunday here for some players, for myself, and it is the right moment to announce it.
We have to enjoy this moment with mixed emotions. It is emotional, I spoke this morning with the players, the staff, so many people who have helped me during an unbelievable, fantastic three years.
“Now is a moment to share it with the fans in this stadium where I have lived great emotions and become what I am right now”
The 43-year-old’s next destination could be Real Madrid, according to multiple reports, though no official announcement has been made by the Spanish giants yet.

Alonso has been heavily linked with the Real Madrid job, especially with Carlo Ancelotti reportedly set to take over the Brazilian national team.
Alonso’s phenomenal achievements at Bayer Leverkusen have drawn attention from top European clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich.
In his first full season in charge, he led Leverkusen to their first-ever Bundesliga title doing so in historic fashion by going unbeaten throughout the campaign,he also clinched the German Cup, making it a season to remember for the club.
Before taking the Leverkusen job in October 2022, Alonso coached Real Madrid’s U-14 team in 2018 and later managed Real Sociedad’s B team. His rise in the coaching ranks has been meteoric, and now, a return to the Santiago Bernabéu appears to be on the horizon.
